Lemon wedges (optional)
Preparation
Instructions:
1.     Rinse all the lentils together under running water until the water runs clear. Soak the lentils in water for about 30 minutes.
2.     In a pressure cooker, combine the soaked lentils, onion, tomatoes, green chili, ginger-garlic paste, turmeric powder, cumin seeds, coriander powder, red chili powder, and salt.
3.     Add 2 cups of water and mix everything well.
4.     Pressure cook for about 3-4 whistles or until the lentils are cooked and soft.
5.     Once the pressure releases, open the cooker and check the consistency of the dal. If it's too thick, add some water and adjust the seasoning.
6.     Garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
