Ingredients:

  • 2 cups makhana

  • 1 tablespoon oil


  • 1/4 teaspoon black salt


  • 1/2 cup finely chopped onion

  • 1/2 cup finely chopped tomato

  • 1/4 cup finely chopped cucumber

  • 1/4 cup finely chopped coriander leaves

  • 1 green chili, finely chopped

  • Juice of 1 lemon

  • 1/4 teaspoon red chili powder

  • Salt to taste

Preparation

Instructions:

  1. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.

  2. Add makhana to the pan and roast them for 4-5 minutes until they turn crispy.

  3. Once the makhana are crispy, add black salt, and red chili powder. Mix well to coat the makhana evenly with the spices. Remove from heat and let them cool.

  4. In a large mixing bowl, combine chopped onion, chopped tomato, chopped cucumber, chopped coriander leaves, and chopped green chili.

  5. Add the roasted makhana to the bowl with the vegetables.

  6. Squeeze fresh lemon juice over the mixture and sprinkle with salt to taste. Toss everything together until well combined.

  7. Serve the Makhana chaat immediately as a healthy and delicious snack.
