Ingredients:

For the Moong Dal Crust:

  • 1 cup yellow moong dal soaked for 4-6 hours

  • 2-3 cloves of garlic

  • 1 green chili (optional)

  • Salt to taste

For the Topping:

  • 1/2 cup tomato sauce or pizza sauce

  • 1 cup mixed vegetables (such as bell peppers, onions, tomatoes,beans , mushrooms, spinach)

  • 1/2 cup grated paneer

  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • Oil for greasing

Preparation

Instructions:

Preparing the Moong Dal Crust:

  1. Drain the soaked moong dal and rinse it well.

  2. In a blender or food processor, blend the moong dal along with garlic, green chili , and salt into a smooth paste. Add a little water if necessary to blend smoothly.

  3. Transfer the dal paste into a mixing bowl.

Cooking the Crust:

  1. Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat. Grease it lightly with oil.

  2. Pour a ladleful of the moong dal batter onto the center of the pan and spread it out gently into a circular shape to form the pizza crust.

  3. Cook the crust for 3-4 minutes on one side until it firms up and turns golden brown. Then, carefully flip it over and cook the other side for another 2-3 minutes.

  4. Once both sides are cooked and the crust is firm, remove it from the pan and place it on a plate.

Assembling the Pizza:

  1. Preheat your gas stove on medium-low heat.

  2. Place the cooked moong dal crust on a flat surface or a pizza pan.

  3. Spread the tomato sauce or pizza sauce evenly over the crust.

  4. Sprinkle grated paneer over the sauce layer.

  5. Arrange the mixed vegetables on top of the paneer layer

  6. Season with salt, pepper.

  7. Finally, sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese over the vegetables.

Cooking the Pizza:

  1. Place the assembled pizza on a pan or tawa over the preheated gas stove.

  2. Cover the pan with a lid and let the pizza cook on low heat for 8-10 minutes or until the cheese melts and the crust becomes crispy.

  3. Check occasionally to prevent burning and ensure even cooking.

Serving:

  1. Once the cheese has melted and the crust is crispy, remove the pizza from the skillet.

  2. Slice it into wedges and serve hot.
