Ingredients:
150g paneer sliced, grated or crumbled
1 small onion, finely chopped
1 green chili, finely chopped
1/2 cup mixed vegetables such as bell peppers, carrots, peas, finely chopped
2 tablespoons besan
1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
1/2 teaspoon cumin powder
1/2 teaspoon coriander powder
Salt to taste
Black pepper to taste
1 tablespoon oil for cooking
Multigrain burger buns
Lettuce leaves
Tomato slices
Onion slices
Cucumber slices
Mint chutney and plain yogurt sauce for topping
Preparation
Instructions:
In a mixing bowl, combine the grated or crumbled paneer, chopped onion, min chopped green chili, mixed vegetables, chickpea flour, turmeric powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all the ingredients are evenly distributed.
Divide the paneer mixture into equal portions and shape them into burger patties.
Heat oil in the pan over medium heat.
Once the oil is hot, add the paneer patties to the pan . Cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side or until the patties are golden brown and cooked through.
While the paneer patties are cooking, prepare the burger toppings. Wash and prepare the lettuce leaves, tomato slices, onion slices, and cucumber slices.
Toast the multigrain burger buns lightly, if desired.
Once the paneer patties are cooked, assemble the burgers. Place a lettuce leaf on the bottom half of each burger bun, followed by a paneer patty.
Top the paneer patty with tomato slices, onion slices, and cucumber slices.
Add a dollop of mint chutney on top of the vegetables.
Cover the burgers with the top half of the burger buns.
Serve the paneer burgers .
